By accessing and using SilentCut ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

SilentCut is a free, browser-based tool that removes silence from video and audio files. All processing occurs locally on your device. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to use SilentCut only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to process any files you upload
• The content of any files you process using the Service
• Maintaining the security of your own device and data

4. Intellectual Property

SilentCut does not claim any ownership over files you process. Your content remains yours. The SilentCut name, logo, and code are the property of their respective owners.

5. Limitation of Liability

SilentCut is provided free of charge on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We make no warranties regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the Service
• We are not liable for any data loss, file corruption, or other damages resulting from use of the Service
• We recommend keeping backups of original files before processing

6. Third-Party Services

SilentCut relies on the following third-party services:

• FFmpeg.wasm — Open-source media processing library (LGPL/GPL licensed)
• jsDelivr — CDN for delivering FFmpeg assets
• GitHub Pages — Hosting platform
• Polar.sh — Donation processing (if you choose to donate)

Each third-party service is governed by its own terms and conditions.

7. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

SilentCut is open source. The source code is available on GitHub. Contributions are welcome under the project's license terms.
